The Tale of the Nine-Tailed 1938 (2023) main stars Lee Dong-wook and Kim So-yeon won the Drama Actor and Drama Actress at the 2023 Brand of the Year Awards!
Hosted by the Korea Consumer Brand Committee and organized by the Korea Economic Daily with the Korea Consumer Forum, the brands of this year’s “Brand Of The Year Awards” were selected from 16 industries with meticulous basic research, extensive consumer voting, and deliberation and evaluation by experts. The online and telephone survey with Korean consumers was conducted from July 3 to 16, garnering 8,019,473 votes in total.
In the field of entertainment under the People/Culture category, actors Lee Dong-wook and Kim So-yeon were recognized as outstanding influencers in drama (TV), winning the titles Drama Actor and Drama Actress of the year.
Lee Dong-wook and Kim So-yeon played main roles as childhood friends Lee Yeon and Ryu Hong Joo with supernatural powers in the second season of tvN’s Tale Of The Nine-Tailed 1938 (2023), an action-fantasy series that tells the story of a gumiho who struggles to return to the present time after getting dragged back to a chaotic era in 1938. It premiered on May 6th and streamed globally on Amazon Prime Video.
