Since then, he and his daughter moved places and he started working as a day laborer, taking any job he could until he got a regular job as a miner.

Several years later, he proposes the National Talent Development Project (NTDP) to Chief Min that seeks to train children with superpowers, targeting first the kids of Jaeman, Guryongpo, and Moonsan, and find more talents throughout the country. He then becomes a spy, following them around school as a principal to get information about their special abilities with the assistance of a trusted P. E. teacher, Choi Ilhwan, who is also a secret agent of NIS.
Kim Bongseok

Bongseok is the only son of former ANSP agents, Kim Doosik and Lee Mihyun. Since his father Doosik has the ability to fly and his mother the super five senses, Bongseok can also fly and hear distant sounds and dialogues. Growing up as a kid, he likes watching the hero Bungaeman on television and surprisingly meets him as a bus driver going to school everyday during his senior years. However, he is perceived by Chief Min as an agent who risks his life to save people by disobeying orders. In 1987, he acted alone to save a plane with a bomb on board and failed to back-up the Operation Seagull, intentionally not following the command of his superior, Sanggu. Years later, Chief Min suspected him to have acted alone again during a top-secret operation in North Korea when its leader, Kim Ilsung, died 15 days before the South-North Korean Summit, becoming a new enemy of ANSP. He disappeared after the incident but caught during a surprise visit to Lee Mihyun’s home. He disappeared again after an incident with Deputy Director Min where people saw him fly. Chief Min was demoted, and the ANSP was downsized and renamed into National Intelligence Service (NIS).
He likes donkatsu, is cold, calculated, and quiet but he changes when he meets Lee Mihyun who becomes his wife. When he was four, he fought against the NIS officers who tried to take away his father using his superhuman powers. Everytime his watch beeps, he sprints towards school to pick up his son.
When his wife was arrested for protesting against the market demolition, he arrived at the scene and fought against the cops, smashing one whole combat police company with his superhuman powers. He had an intense fight with Guryongpo who was ordered by NIS to capture him but was secretly set free by the agent for helping him rescue a trapped boy at the underwater tunnel. She had flawless scores in shooting and in every practical evaluation item, and produced the highest scores in all the training processes since the ANSP was established.
However, she did not pass the test to become a black ops agent during the Operation Seagull when she intentionally used a flash bang grenade instead of the tear gas, helping survivors flee from the scene that Chief Min calls “cheap humanism”. In 1994, she was given a very critical task by Chief Min to get close to Kim Doosik or Moonsan to verify his philosophical views and analyze his psychological state. She fell in love with him in the process and they got married, lived a quiet life as retired agents in the countryside, and gave birth to a son, Bongseok.
She likes color purple, donkatsu, and coffee from the vending machine than the brewed ones at a coffee shop, which were both related to her special moments with Kim Doosik. When Deputy Director Min was demoted, the ANSP was diminished. Mihyun’s father died and she was set free from the agency. She then transferred to another organization and finished the agent training course with top scores.
When Chief Min’s troops suddenly arrived at their peaceful home, she managed to escape with her son while Doosik was sent to NIS and disappeared again. Several years later, Lee Mihyun’s son is now a senior high school student and she has fulfilled Kim Doosik’s plan to manage their own donkatsu restaurant, “Namsan Donkatsu”.
