The Asia Artist Awards, which brings together South Korea’s top stars and famous artists across Asia, is set to hold its biggest edition yet this year.
According to Star News, the 2023 Asia Artist Awards will be held at the Philippine Arena in Bulacan, Philippines on December 14th. The venue is recognized by the Guinness World Records as the largest mixed-use indoor theater in the world for its 55,000 seating capacity.
The 8th edition will be hosted by Korean artists Jang Won-young, Kang Daniel, and Sung Han-bin. So far, more than twenty performing artists of boy bands, girl groups, and solo singers, and sixteen actors have been confirmed to attend the big event.
Get to know the star-studded lineup of artists at the 2023 Asia Artist Awards (AAA), in alphabetical order:
&TEAM
A Japanese boy band based in South Korea that consists of nine members namely K, Fuma, Nicholas, EJ, Yuma, Jo, Harua, Taki, and Maki. The group officially debuted in December 2022 under Hybe Labels Japan.
Ahn Dong-gu
A South Korean actor who played roles in Sweet Home (2020), The Silent Sea (2021), Our Beloved Summer (2021), The Law Cafe (2022), and See You in My 19th Life (2023).
Ahn Hyo-seop
An actor who was born in South Korea but raised in Canada, and is known for his drama roles in Business Proposal (2022), Dr. Romantic 2 & 3 (2020-23), and Netflix’s A Time Called You (2023). So far, he has won thrice at the Asia Artist Awards including a “Rookie Award” in 2017 for My Father Is Strange (2017), a “Choice Award” in 2019, and a “Best Actor Award” in 2020 for Dr. Romantic 2 (2020).
Ash Island
A South Korean rapper also known as “Clloud” who joined “Ambition Musik”, a sub-label of “The Quiett” in November 2018 and released his first album “Ash” in March 2019.
ATBO
A boy group from South Korea that consists of seven members namely Oh Jun-seok, Ryu Jun-min, Bae Hyun-jun, Seok Rak-won, Jeong Seung-hwan, Kim Yeon-Kyu, and Won Bin. They officially debuted in July 2022 under IST Entertainment. In 2022, they won the “Focus Award” at the Asia Artist Awards.
BOYNEXTDOOR
A boy band from South Korea that consists of six members namely Sungho, Riwoo, Jaehyun, Taesan, Leehan, and Woonhak. The group officially debuted in May 2023 under KOZ Entertainment.
BSS (Seventeen)
The first sub-unit of South Korean boy band Seventeen that consists of three members namely DK, Hoshi, and Seungkwan. The group officially debuted in March 2018 under Pledis.
Cha Joo-young
A South Korean actress since 2014 who played the role of a flight attendant and one of the bullies in Netflix’s hit series, The Glory (2022-23). She also took a role in the drama, The Real Has Come! (2023).
Dindin
A South Korean rapper, entertainer, DJ for his radio program “Dindin’s Music High”, and an active member of 2 Days 1 Night Season 4. He also joined tvN’s The Backpacker Chef (2022) and Netflix’s Zombie Verse (2023).
Dreamcatcher
A girl group from South Korea that was described as “The Face of Rock in K-pop”. The group consists of seven members namely JiU, SuA, Siyeon, Handong, Yoohyeon, Dami, and Gahyeon and they officially debuted in January 2017 under Dreamcatcher Company (formerly Happyface Entertainment).
HORI7ON
A boy band from the Philippines that is known to be the first Filipino boy group to debut in South Korea. The band consists of seven members namely Vinci Malizon, Kim Ng, Kyler Chua, Reyster Yton, Winston Pineda, Jeromy Batac, and Marcus Cabais. They officially debuted in July 2023 under ABS-CBN and MLD Entertainment.
ITZY
A girl group from South Korea that consists of five members namely Yeji, Lia, Ryujin, Chaeryeong, and Yuna. They debuted in February 2019 under JYP Entertainment. So far, the group has won six awards at the Asia Artist Awards including “Rookie of the Year” in 2019, “Hot Issue Award” and “Choice Award” in 2020, “Best Musician Award” in 2021, “Asia Celebrity” and “Best Artist Award” in 2022.
Jang Won-young
A member of the IVE girl group who will be co-hosting AAA for the third year in a row. In 2022, her group received three awards at the Asia Artist Awards including “Grand Prize (Daesang) Song of the Year”, “Hot Trend Award”, and “Rookie of the Year”.
Jung Sung-il
A South Korean theater, movie, and TV actor who played roles in The Chase (2017), Secret Forest 2 (2022), Birthcare Center (2020), Bad And Crazy (2021), Moonshine (2021), Our Blues (2022), Project Wolf Hunting (2022), and Netflix’s The Glory (2022-23).
Kang Daniel
A South Korean singer and actor who will be co-hosting AAA this year. So far, he has won eight awards at the Asia Artist Awards including “Potential Award”, “Star15 Popularity Award”, and “Best Emotive Award” in 2019, “Asia Celebrity Award” and “Best Musician Award” in 2020, another “Best Musician Award” in 2021, “Potential Award” and “Rookie Actor of the Year” in 2022 for his performance in Rookie Cops (2022).
KARD
A co-ed group from South Korea that was described by Billboard magazine as “one of the most successful co-ed K-pop acts to ever exist”. The group consists of four members namely J.Seph, BM, Somin, and Jiwoo and they officially debuted in July 2017 under DSP Media. So far, the group has achieved three wins at the Asia Artist Awards including “Rookie of the Year Award” in 2017, “New Wave Award” in 2018, and “Best Choice Award” in 2022.
Kep1er
A girl group from South Korea that consists of nine members namely Kim Chae-hyun, Huening Bahiyyih, Choi Yu-jin, Kim Da-yeon, Seo Young-eun, Kang Ye-seo, Hikaru Ezaki, Mashiro Sakamoto, and Shen Xiaoting. They officially debuted in January 2022 under Swing Entertainment and WakeOne. In 2022, they received two awards at the Asia Artist Awards including “Best Choice Award” and “New Wave Award”.
Kim Jae Joong
A singer, actor, and Chief Strategy Officer at his own agency “iNKODE”. He played roles in Heaven’s Postman (2009), Protect the Boss (2011), Dr. Jin (2012), Jackal is Coming (2012), Triangle (2014), SPY (2015), and Manhole (2017). He’s also a cast member of the television show, Magic lamp (2023).
Kim Sejeong
A South Korean singer and actress who is known for her roles in The Uncanny Counter (2020-23) and Business Proposal (2022). This year, she is set to embark on her first concert tour “The 門” with a new album and will be traveling to different countries. This will also be Sejeong’s comeback as a music artist after two years. In 2022, she won the “Best Actor Award” and “DCM Popularity Award” at the Asia Artist Awards.
Kim Seonho
A South Korean theater, television, and movie actor who is known for his roles in Start-Up (2020) and Hometown Cha-Cha-Cha (2021). This year, he debuted in the film industry with the role of a mysterious nobleman in The Childe (2023). So far, he has won seven awards at the Asia Artist Awards including “Best Emotive Award” in 2020, “RET Popularity Award” and “U+Idol Live Popularity Award” in 2021, “Asia Celebrity Award”, “Best Choice Award”, “Idol Plus Popularity Award”, and “DCM Popularity Award” in 2022.
Kim Young-dae
A South Korean actor who played roles in Extraordinary You (2019), The Penthouse: War In Life (2020), and The Forbidden Marriage (2022-23). In 2022, he won the “Best Acting Performance” at the Asia Artist Awards for his performance in Sh**ting Stars (2022).
Kingdom
A boy band from South Korea that consists of seven members namely Dann, Arthur, Mujin, Louis, Ivan, Jahan and Hwon. The group officially debuted in February 2021 under GF Entertainment. So far, they have won two awards at the Asia Artist Awards including “Focus Award” in 2021 and “Potential Award” in 2022.
Kwon Eunbi
A former member-leader of the girl group Iz*One before debuting as a solo singer in 2021. She is also active in various television and radio programs including The Travel Blog (2022), Why Not Crew (2022-23), Rossily in Secret Ulsan (2023), and Kwon Eunbi’s Young Street (2023). In 2021, she won the “Best Emotive Singer Award” at the Asia Artist Awards.
Lapillus
A girl group from South Korea that consists of six members namely Chanty, Shana, Yue, Bessie, Seowon, and Haeun. They officially debuted in June 2022 under MLD Entertainment. In 2022, they won the “Focus Award” at the Asia Artist Awards.
Lee Dong-hwi
A South Korean singer and actor who is a member of the supergroup MSG Wannabe and a known for his roles in Reply 1988 (2015-16), Confidential Assignment (2017), Extreme Job (2019), and Big Bet (2022-23).
Lee Eun-saem
A South Korean actress known for her roles in Midnight Runners (2017), The Red Sleeve (2021), All of Us Are Dead (2022), Cheer Up (2022), and Bitch x Rich (2023).
Lee Joon-hyuk
A South Korean actor who played roles in I Saw the Devil (2010), City Hunter (2011), Along With The Gods (2017-18), Stranger (2017-2020), and The Roundup: No Way Out (2023). In 2020, he won the “Best Acting Award” at the Asia Artist Awards for his performances in 365: Repeat the Year (2020) and Stanger (2020).
Lee Junho
A South Korean singer and actor who is a member of the boy band, 2PM. He is also known for his drama roles in Good Manager (2017), Wok Of Love (2018), and King the Land (2023). So far, he has received five Awards at the Asia Artist Awards including the “AAA Hot Trend” and “Grand Prize (Daesang) Actor of the Year” in 2022 for his performance in The Red Sleeve (2021). He also won “Best Celebrity” in 2017, “Artist of the Year” and “Best Emotive” in 2018.
Lee Jun-young
A South Korean singer and actor who played the violent boyfriend of Kim Momi’s bestfriend in Netflix’s Mask Girl (2023). He has won twice at the Asia Artist Awards including “Best Choice Award” in 2021 and “Best Actor Award” in 2022 for his performance in May I Help You? (2022).
Lee Youngji
A South Korean rapper who joined the shows Earth Arcade (2022-23) as a cast member and No Prepare (2022-23) as a host.
LE SSERAFIM
A girl group from South Korea that consists of five members namely Sakura, Kim Chae-won, Huh Yun-jin, Kazuha, and Hong Eun-chae. They officially debuted in May 2022 under Source Music. In 2002, they won “Best Musician Award” and “Rookie of the Year” at the Asia Artist Awards.
LUN8
A boy band from South Korea that consists of eight members namely Chael, Jin Su, Takuma, Jun Woo, Do Hyun, Ian, Ji Eun-ho, and Eun Seop. The group officially debuted in June 2023 under Fantagio.
Moon Ga-young
A South Korean actress known for her roles in Welcome to Waikiki 2 (2019), Link: Eat, Love, Kill (2022), and The Interest of Love (2022–23). In 2021, she won the “Emotive Award” for her performance in True Beauty (2020–21) at the Asia Artist Awards.
Moon Sang-min
A South Korean actor who is known for his roles as Grand Prince Seongnam in tvN’s Under the Queen’s Umbrella (2022) and a student soldier in TVING’s Duty After School (2023).
NewJeans
A girl group from South Korea that was named the “Fastest K-pop act to reach 1 billion streams on Spotify” by Guinness World Records in 2023. The group consists of five members namely Minji, Hanni, Danielle, Haerin, and Hyein and they officially debuted in July 2022 under ADOR. In 2022, they won the “Grand Prize (Daesang) Performance of the Year” and “Rookie of the Year” at the Asia Artist Awards.
NMIXX
A girl group from South Korea that consists of six members namely Lily, Haewon, Sullyoon, Bae, Jiwoo, and Kyujin. They officially debuted in February 2022 under SQU4D, a sub-label of JYP Entertainment. In 2022, they won the “Best Emotive Award” and “New Wave Award” at the Asia Artist Awards.
ONEUS
A boy band from South Korea that consists of five members namely Seoho, Leedo, Keonhee, Hwanwoong, and Xion. The group officially debuted in January 2019 under RBW.
Park Jaechan
A South Korean singer and actor who is a member of the boy group DKZ. He is also known for his role in Semantic Error (2022).
SB19
A boy band from the Philippines that was named the first Filipino and Southeast Asian act to be nominated in US Billboard’s Social Artist Awards and hit the charts. The group consists of five members namely Pablo, Stell, Ken, Justin, and Josh. They were formed in 2016 and officially debuted in 2018 under ShowBT, a Korean entertainment company that is based in the Philippines. In 2023, they started their own label, 1Z Entertainment.
STAYC
A girl group from South Korea that consists of six members namely Sumin, Sieun, Isa, Seeun, Yoon, and J. They officially debuted in November 2020 under High Up Entertainment. In 2021, they won the “New Wave Singer Award” at the Asia Artist Awards.
Stray Kids (SKZ)
A boy band from South Korea that consists of eight members namely Bang Chan, Lee Know, Changbin, Hyunjin, Han, Felix, Seungmin, and I.N. They officially debuted in March 2018 under JYP Entertainment. So far, they have received seven awards at the Asia Artist Awards including two Grand Prize (Daesang) Awards, as “Performance of the Year” in 2021 and “Album of the Year” in 2022. A boy band from South Korea that consists of seven members namely Hanbin, Hyeongseop, Hyuk, Eunchan, Lew, Hwarang, and Taerae. They officially debuted in March 2022 under Yuehua Entertainment. In 2022, they won the “New Wave Award” at the Asia Artist Awards.
THE BOYZ
A boy band from South Korea that consists of eleven members namely Sangyeon, Jacob, Younghoon, Hyunjae, Juyeon, Kevin, New, Q, Ju Haknyeon, Sunwoo, and Eric. Yao Chen

A South Korean singer and actor who is known for his role as Grand Prince Gye-seong in tvN’s Under the Queen’s Umbrella (2022). He is also a cast member of 2 Days & 1 Night Season 4.
ZEROBASEONE
A boy band from South Korea that set the record for the highest number of preorders for a K-pop debut album in history. The group consists of nine members namely Kim Ji-woong, Zhang Hao, Sung Han-bin, Seok Matthew, Kim Tae-rae, Ricky, Kim Gyu-vin, Park Gun-wook, and Han Yu-jin. They officially debuted in July 2023 under WakeOne.
The Asia Artist Awards was established in 2016 and is organized by South Korea-based business newspaper Money Today and its global media brands StarNews and MTN. Yearly, they gather famous artists from Asia in one place to receive honor for their outstanding achievements and contributions in television, film, and music.
According to AAA, they conduct fair and transparent awards, selecting winners based on big data from global fans across Asia including South Korea, Japan, China, Taiwan, Hongkong, Singapore, Indonesia, Vietnam, and the Philippines, and Argentina in South America, as well as the Americas including Mexico in North America, and Europe.
Meanwhile, the 8th edition is presented by Star News, Asia Artists Awards Organising Committee, TONZ Entertainment, and PULP Live World. A red carpet entrance of the famous celebrities is expected on December 14th. Tickets will go on sale on November 12th, according to Pulp Live World.
