Who will be named the “Most Popular Actor and Actress” at the 2023 Asia Artist Awards?
The Asia Artist Awards (AAA), which brings together South Korea’s top stars and famous artists across Asia, is set to hold its biggest edition yet this year with exciting performances and awards including the “Most Popular Actor and Actress of the Year”.
Thirty-nine (39) Korean actors, 20 male and 19 female were selected in the final round of the popularity award poll, which started on November 14th.
As of November 29th, idol-actors Kang Daniel and Lee Junho dominate the male actor category with more than 600,000 votes each. They are followed by Cha Eun-woo in third place and Kim Seonho in fourth place. Other male actors in the Top 10 include EXO’s Suho, Park Seoham, Jinyoung, Jaechan, Rowoon, and Doh Kyungsoo.
In the female category, Kim Sejeong ranks no. 1 with 40% of votes (52,964). She is followed by Lim Yoona with 19.9% of votes (26,321) while Park Eun-bin takes third place with 9.2% of votes (12,130). Other female actors in the Top 10 include Lee Se-young, Kathryn Bernardo (Filipina actress), Bae Suzy, Lee Sung-kyung, Kim So-hyun, Jo Boah, and Jung Eun-ji.
Fans worldwide are actively casting their votes through the Idol Champ app. The poll will end on November 30th at 23:59 KST.
The 8th edition of the Asia Artist Awards will be held at the Philippine Arena in Bulacan, Philippines on December 14th. The venue is recognized by the Guinness World Records as the largest mixed-use indoor theater in the world for its 55,000 seating capacity.
The big event will be hosted by Korean artists Jang Won-young, Kang Daniel, and Sung Han-bin. It is presented by Star News, Asia Artists Awards Organising Committee, TONZ Entertainment, and PULP Live World.
