Look! Kim Seonho Shares His “Hong Dusik” Drawings

In celebration of the pilot episode of Kim Seonho’s newest drama, “Hometown Cha-Cha-Cha”, a drawing event was held for fans through his agency, SALT Entertainment.

Fans are challenged to participate in the “Hong Dusik Drawing Game” using any available art medium. Drawings must be uploaded through Facebook, Instagram, or Twitter with the following hashtags: #HometownChaChaCha #HongDusik #KimSeonHo

The drawing activity will run from August 27 to October 24, 2021.

Although participating in the event has no special privileges, some chosen artworks might be used for the promotional purposes of “Hometown Cha-Cha-Cha” through SALT Entertainment. All participants will also get to see thirty (30) unreleased cuts of Kim Seonho on October 24th, the last day of the drawing game.

It’s a call to all potential viewers and “Seonhohada” fans alike to showcase their inner artists. On the other hand, it’s a brilliant idea by Seonho’s creative team to engage the audience with the character “Hong Dusik” and keep the momentum on its weekly air-time.

Seonho also conveyed a warm message to those who cannot participate, “If it’s too much for you, you don’t have to draw it. All you have to do is watch, like, and support us.” Isn’t he thoughtful and considerate?

To give Seonhohadas a demo, the actor displayed his artistic skills by drawing his drama character, “Hong Dusik”. Although he is not a professional illustrator, he was able to sketch a visual representation of Chief Hong in a limited time.

In the video, he mentioned that he has seen some “fan art” of him across social media platforms and saved them, expressing compliments to the artists. He also shared a high school story in which he participated in a drawing contest, believing that his work was good despite his teacher’s doubts.

Nevertheless, he is an artist at heart who has the ability to create something out of a blank canvas. He is able to communicate his emotions well not just in acting and singing, but also through drawing.

For instance, his staff shared a happy heart drawn by Seonho on the white curtain, relaying a message to his fans that he is thinking of them amid his tight schedule. Isn’t he sweet?

Notably, his artworks won twice in the drawing contest of 2 Days and 1 Night Season 4 variety show—a portrait of Dindin’s mother and an autumn-inspired drawing.

The latter revealed the actor’s reflective side and sense of depth in life—truly a man of contemplation.

Since it’s a “Know Yourself” episode, the psychologist analyzed his artwork, translating every detailed piece about the internal aspect of the actor at that time. The chimney and smoke represent his inner conflicts, the mountains signify the number of issues he must resolve and how he is absorbed in them, constantly thinking about personal things within him. Whereas, the water that changed into a road means his subconscious motives of looking anxiously at life’s responsibilities changed into a reality.

“You are constantly debating about things within yourself. Then you remember you must do something right now and you pull yourself together to do the task at hand,” explains the psychologist and further saying that among the six members of the show, Seonho has the most worries.

Kim Seonho confirmed his anxiousness, saying, “When I look at myself here, I feel like I don’t really fit in and I’m not doing a good job. I’m constantly wondering what I’m doing right now.” He cried as the psychologist helped him express his bottled up emotions, encouraging him, “Do not worry or be afraid because within you is a strong self that you won’t lose.”

A few months later, the unfamiliar actor became a popular star, capturing the hearts of many, locally and internationally, with his charms, excellent acting, kindness, and warmth. In less than a year since his outstanding performance as “Han Jipyeong” in the drama “Start-Up”, he has gained millions of followers on his Instagram acount, received several offers for commercials, magazine shoots, and good projects. He has also transformed from a shy variety rookie to a witty, confident, and competitive member at the 2 Days and 1 Night show.

Seonhohadas are proud of him.

By the way, the prize for winning first place in the drawing contest was a box of chocolates that he shared with all production staff, crew, and members on the set. Isn’t he kindhearted?

Soon we will get to know and adore the equally heartwarming, charming, and multi-talented Hong Dusik. Let us show lots of love and support for our favorite actor. “Hometown Cha-Cha-Cha” premieres on August 28th through Netflix and Korea’s TVN Channel.
