The Trio Crowd-Favorite K-Series Dominate The Swoonies’ Choice Awards 2021

Netflix’s The Swoon is now on its final round of voting for the “Swoonies’ Choice Awards 2021″.

On December 8th, The Swoon revealed the final nominees in 10 categories. Three of the most popular Korean content on Netflix worldwide top the finalists, including Vincenzo, Hometown Cha-Cha-Cha, and Squid Game.

“Vincenzo” got the most number of nominations in the final round including:

  • Best Drama Anthem
  • Best Couple: Song Joongki and Jeon Yeo-been
  • Most Swoonworthy Confession: Song Joongki and Jeon Yeo-been
  • Thirstiest Trap: Song Joongki
  • Favorite Girl Crush: Jeon Yeo-been
  • Most Thrilling Secret Identity: Ok Taec-yeon
  • Best Villain: Ok Taec-yeon
  • Friendship That Made Us Feel The Most: Song Joongki and Kim Sung-cheol

Hometown Cha-Cha-Cha


“Hometown Cha-Cha-Cha” is in a tight race with “Vincenzo” for the final round in the following categories:

  • Best Drama Anthem
  • Best Couple: Kim Seonho and Shin Mina
  • Most Swoonworthy Confession: Kim Seonho and Shin Mina
  • Thirstiest Trap: Kim Seonho

Squid Game


“Squid Game” secured three categories in the final round including:

  • Hottest Ahjussi: Lee Jung-jae
  • Best Villain: Capitalism
  • Favorite Discovery of the Year: Jung Ho-yeon vs Wi Ha-jun

Other finalists include “My Name”, “Lovestruck in the City”, and “Hospital Playlist”.

The “Swoonies’ Choice Awards” is Netflix’s yearly online voting with fans to honor and celebrate the best of K-dramas.
