“Hometown Cha-Cha-Cha” Bags Multiple Wins At The Metro Best K-Drama Awards 2021

Metro Best K-Drama Awards” is a yearly digital awards event in the Philippines where top dramas are recognized and honored through a combination of votes from the Jury, People’s Choice, and special awards.

“Hometown Cha-Cha-Cha” appears to be the public’s most favorite drama as it won multiple awards in this year’s Metro Best K-Drama Awards. On December 15th, the drama won in the following categories:

Jury’s Choice Awards:

  • Breakthrough Star of the Year: Kim Seonho
  • Best OST: Hometown Cha-Cha-Cha
  • Best Supporting Actress: Kim Young-ok

People’s Choice Awards:

  • Best Drama: Hometown Cha-Cha-Cha
  • Best Couple: Kim Seonho and Shin Mina
  • Best Actor: Kim Seonho
  • Best Actress: Shin Mina
  • Best Kiss: Kim Seonho and Shin Mina
  • Best Song: Romantic Sunday by Car, The Garden

“Hometown Cha-Cha-Cha” is a hit romantic-comedy Korean series and an outstanding remake of the 2004 film, “Mr. Hong”, starring Kim Seonho and Shin Mina.

It continues to be recognized globally—topping the Netflix’s Top 10 global ranking and charts as well as leading the various polls, surveys, and review ratings. It also dominated the weekly rankings of the most buzzworthy drama and actors and attained the highest nationwide viewership ratings during its entire run.

On December 14th, Kim Seonho was selected as Gallup Korea’s “Actor of the Year” followed by Shin Mina on 2nd place.
