“All Of Us Are Dead” is a zombie-thriller Korean series which will premiere on Netflix this January 28th. It is based on a webtoon entitled Now at Our School by Joo Dong-geun.
The 12-episode series written by Chun Sung-il follows high school students who are trapped inside the building which has become ground zero for a zombie outbreak.
While it is mainly led by young stars Yoon Chan-young, Park Ji-hoo, Cho Yi-hyun, Park Solomon, and Yoo In-soo, veteran actors are also present such as Bae Hae-sun from Hotel Del Luna and Kim Byung-chul from Sisyphus: The Myth, to name a few.
Lee Jae-kyoo, the director of the show, is known for his work in the series Damo (2003), Fashion 70’s (2005), Beethoven Virus (2008), The King 2 Hearts (2012) and in the following films, The Fatal Encounter (2014) and Intimate Strangers (2018).
Regarding his newest project, All Of Us Are Dead, the director hints at human choices and survival tactics in times of horrifying and desperate situations.
He shared about the core message of the series, “Adults who have been socialized make safe choices in dangerous situations. But before those types of situations, children make dangerous choices or judgments in order to save their friends.”
