“A Business Proposal” Takes No.1 Spot On Netflix’s Global Top 10, Non-English TV

The ongoing romantic-comedy Korean series, A Business Proposal (2022), continues to surge in Hallyu popularity. Remarkably, it rose to number one spot on Netflix’s Global Top 10 in the category, non-English TV shows, on the week of March 14 to 20, 2022.

On its second week on the global charts, A Business Proposal (2022) has achieved 23.4 million views and is popular in 27 countries from Africa and Asia including Egypt, Bahrain, Taiwan, Japan, Oman, and South Korea, to name a few. The drama also landed on no.1 spot in Bangladesh, Indonesia, Jordan, Malaysia, Maldives, Philippines, Qatar, Saudi Arabia, Singapore, Sri Lanka, Thailand, UAE, and Vietnam on Netflix’s TV category.

Overall, the show has been watched for 39.3 million hours based on its two-week data from Netflix. Locally, it continues to achieve high ratings, attaining its highest nationwide viewership rating so far of 10.8% through South Korea’s SBS TV.

A Business Proposal (2022) is a twelve-part series that follows an employee and a CEO whose lives get entangled after a blind date, starring Ahn Hyo-seopKim Se-jeongKim Min-kyu, and Seon In-ah. It premiered on February 28, 2022 and will end on April 5, 2022.


Meanwhile, the legal-crime series, Juvenile Justice, which premiered on February 25, has obtained a total of 106.5 million viewing hours since its release and remain on Top 10 in TV category in 18 countries from Asia and in the Americas.

On its 4th week on the global charts, Twenty-Five Twenty-One has been watched for a total of 63.7 million hours, making it to Top 10 in TV category in 21 countries from Asia. While Forecasting Love And Weather has achieved a total of 47.1 million viewing hours and is popular on Netflix in 17 countries from Asia and Africa.

The friendship series, Thirty-Nine, which exited last week is back on the global charts, taking 10th place and attaining a total record of 19.6 million viewing hours. The show is popular in 11 countries from Asia.

The teenage zombie-thriller series, All Of Us Are Dead, remains strong for 8 consecutive weeks on Netflix’s global rankings. So, far it has obtained 630.5 million viewing hours since its release on January 28 and still popular in 20 countries.

Looking at the viewing record of other popular Korean series on Netflix, Squid Game (2021) remains the unbeatable one which has acquired a whopping 2.2 billion viewing hours for 19 consecutive weeks. While it has departed Netflix’s Top 10 list, the deadly game show is still being watched worldwide, according to the February 2022 data from Flix Patrol.
