Lee Jun-ho and Kim Tae-ri continue to lead the poll for Most Popular Actor and Actress at the 58th edition of Baeksang Arts Awards (BAA).
After announcing the official list of candidates in all categories in Film, Theater, and TV division last April 11th, Baeksang Arts Awards also launched the online poll for fans to cast votes for their favorite artist.
Lee Jun-ho ranks first place in the popularity poll in the male category. As of April 29th at 17:00 KST, he has received 1,002,867 votes from his fans. He is a nominee for Best TV Actor for his outstanding role as the Crown Prince in the popular sageuk drama, The Red Sleeve (2021).
Key, who is a candidate in the Male Entertainer Award, ranks 2nd place in the popularity male category with 358,172 votes as of writing. He is followed by Jung Hae-in who has received 141,853 votes so far. He is a nominee for Best TV Actor for his role as Private An Jun-ho in the military drama, Deserter Pursuit (2021).
Looking at the female category, Kim Tae-ri ranks 1st place with 749,885 votes as of April 29th, 17:00 KST. She is a candidate for Best TV Actress for her phenomenal role as Na Hee-do in the well-loved drama, Twenty-Five Twenty-One (2022).
She is followed by The Red Sleeve (2021) star, Lee Se-young who has received 661,397 votes so far. Lim Yoona, who is a candidate for Best Actress for her role in the movie Miracle (2021), ranks 3rd place with 82,253 votes.
In 2021, Kim Seonho and Seo Yea-ji were voted by fans as the Most Popular Actor and Actress. Seo Yea-ji’s talent was exceptional in It’s Okay To Not Be Okay (2020) that she was nominated for Best TV Actress and voted as the Most Popular Actress.
Kim Seonho remarkably rose to Hallyu fame for his brilliant performance as Han Ji-pyeong in Start-Up (2020) and was a strong candidate for Best TV Supporting Actor. In the poll, he received 1.3 million votes from fans worldwide and took home the Most Popular Actor award.
Meanwhile, fans worldwide are actively casting their votes through the Tiktok account of Baeksang. The poll will officially end on April 29th at 18:00 KST.
The final winners for Most Popular Actor and Actress at the 58th edition of Baeksang Arts Awards will be officially announced during the awarding ceremony on May 6th. The event will be broadcast live simultaneously on JTBC.
