Money Heist Korea Claims No.1 Spot On Netflix’s Weekly Global Top Shows

Money Heist: Korea Joint Economic Area (2022) has entered Netflix’s Global Top 10 on its first week of streaming. It claimed the no.1 spot in the non-English TV category, on the week of June 20 to 26, 2022.

So far, it has obtained 33.7 million viewing hours and has reached Top 10 in TV in 51 countries around the globe. It took 1st place in Morocco, Indonesia, Malaysia, Thailand, Vietnam, and South Korea.

Money Heist: Korea Joint Economic Area (2022) is a remake of the popular Spanish series, La Casa De Papel or Money Heist by Alex Pina. The 6-episode Korean version was released on June 24th exclusively on Netflix. While it retains the original city names from La Casa De Papel, the Korean remake explores a different plot in their own style based on culture, such as the vibe of North Korea and South Korea.
