Theater actor Kim Seonho has been revealed to have donated all earnings for his stage performance in Touching The Void (2022) to victims of the super typhoon Hinnamnor in Pohang, which is the filming location of Hometown Cha-Cha-Cha (2021).

According to his agency, SALT Entertainment, Kim Seonho expressed his desire to give all the cost of his stage appearance of Touching The Void (2022) to Pohang, which is a meaningful place for the actor as Hong Dusik. The city was reported to have been greatly affected by the recent super typhoon with severe flooding, submerged vehicles, power outages, and broken homes.
It appears that besides his heart of giving, Pohang City, also known as Gongjin in Hometown Cha-Cha-Cha (2021) has become so dear to Kim Seonho’s heart. He has lived the life of Hong Dusik for almost 6 months in the countryside and breathed the healing vibes that the seaside gives. It has also become a popular destination for seafood, seaside scenery, comfort, and rejuvenation to many overseas travelers.

On September 16th, it was announced that a food truck of refreshments with rice cakes, fruits, and various drinks were provided to 1,000 typhoon victims and volunteers in partnership with the Hope Bridge National Disaster Relief Association. Such thoughtful activity contains with the hope that it might help in the recovery of the daily life in Pohang.
One of the residents who visited the food truck expressed gratitude for the gift of refreshments, revealing, “I spent Chuseok holiday without a home. I am grateful for this support.”
This is not the first time that the actor has engaged or participated in social causes. Kim Seonho is known to be a man of generosity who has donated to charities such as the Korea Leukemia Children’s Foundation. His huge fandom also organizes donation events following the influence of the actor’s heart of giving. The most recent one is giving monetary aid to typhoon victims in South Korea.
Meanwhile, Kim Seonho successfully made his acting comeback through the stage play Touching The Void (2022) where all his performance dates from July to September were immediately sold out upon release of tickets online. He was also revealed as the newest ambassador of Bench, a top clothing and lifestyle brand in the Philippines and officially announced by Seoul Drama International Drama Awards as the Outstanding Drama Actor for Hometown Cha-Cha-Cha (2021).
Many await with high anticipation for his new big project and promotion of his movie debut, Sad Tropics, which is expected to be released late this year.
