Lee Sun-gyun Nominated For International Emmy Awards 2022

Korean actor Lee Sun-gyun in Dr. Brain (2021) has entered the final list of candidates in a tough competition with other selected actors from overseas in the Best Actor category at the International Emmy Awards 2022.

Sixty nominees across 15 categories from 23 countries have been revealed to compete in the final round. In the Best Actor category, South Korea’s Lee Sun-gyun in Dr. Brain (2021) has been selected as official candidate alongside Sweden’s Sverrir Gudnason in En kunglig affär (2021), Mexico’s Scoot McNairy in Narcos: Mexico (2021), and United Kingdom’s Dougray Scott in Irvine Welsh’s Crime (2021).

Lee Sun-kyun played a brilliant brain scientist in Apple TV+ Dr. Brain (2021), a sci-fi thriller based on a webtoon “Dr. Brain” by Hongjacga that tells about a brain scientist who tries to solve the mysterious death of his family by hacking into the brains of the deceased. The actor is also known for his work in My Mister (2018) and Parasite (2019), just to name a few.

The final winners of the 50th International Emmy Awards will be officially announced during the awarding ceremony in New York City on November 21, 2022.
