20th Century Girl (2022), starring Kim Yoo-jung, Byeon Woo-seok, Park Jung-woo, and Roh Yoon-seo has entered Netflix’s Global Top 10 and took 2nd place worldwide in non-English film category for the week of October 17 to 23, 2022.
So far, the romantic Korean film has been watched for 8 million hours and reached Top 10 in TV in 33 countries from Asia, Africa, and the Americas. It landed at no.1 spot in South Korea.
Set against the backdrop of 1999, 20th Century Girl (2022) is written and directed by Bang Woo-ri that depicts the friendship and first love of a high school girl named Na Bo-ra played by Kim Yoo-jung. This girl has a bright personality and promises her bestfriend who traveled to US for health reasons, to keep close tabs on a boy she has fallen in love with. Bora starts to follow the boy and his bestfriend only to get swept up in a love story of her own.
The film was officially released on Netflix on October 21st.
