Kim Seonho, 김선호, is a popular actor in South Korea. He remarkably rose to fame with his secondary role, “Han Jipyeong”, through the drama, Start-Up, in 2020. “Two O’Clock Date”

“Two O’Clock Date” is a romantic-comedy film about two neighbors who live in the same apartment—a woman with a big secret and a man who lives on the floor above her. Romance will develop and blossom as they bump into each other everyday.

It is confirmed by Kim Seonho’s agency, Salt Entertainment, that he has accepted the role alongside the actress-singer, Lim Yoona. Together they appeared as co-hosts at the “2020 MBC Music Festival” and performed the hit song, “Perhaps Love.”

Lee Sang Geun, the director of this movie, is known for his hit film “Exit” (2019), starring Lim Yoona. It is reported that production will begin on March 2022.


“Dog Days”

“Dog Days” is an omnibus or anthology film that centers around human-canine relationships. It will narrate the stories of individuals from different walks of life whose lives are transformed through their animal companions.

There is no official confirmation yet from Kim Seonho’s agency but it is reported that he has accepted the offer and currently in talks with the details, according to news outlets.

However, it is announced that the cast includes the legendary veteran actresses in South Korea, including Kim Yun Jin and Youn Yuh Jung, an award-winning actress who won the Best Supporting Actress in 2021 Oscars Academy Award in Los Angeles.

The movie is directed by Kim Deok Min and reported to start filming in December 2021 or January 2022.


“Sad Tropics”

“Sad Tropics” revolves around an aspiring Korean-Filipino boxer who comes to Korea to find his estranged father. Throughout the quest, he stumbles upon a villainous group of boys and encounters misadventures where his life will reverse.

According to reports, there are two main leads in this film and that Kim Seonho is positively reviewing the casting offer although his role is not specified yet.

It is also rumored that Marian Rivera, a famous actress from the Philippines, was selected to be the Filipina mother, while Yoon Junghoon will portray the boxer’s Korean father. Both Junghoon and Seonho are active cast members of the reality-variety show, “2 Days and 1 Night”. As of writing, these news are not yet verified.

Park Hoon Jung, the director of this movie, is known for his hit films, “New World” (2013), “V.I.P” (2017), “The Witch: Part 1 The Subversion” (2018), and “Night In Paradise” (2021). Filming is reported to begin on November 2021 once Kim Seonho’s drama, “Hometown Cha-Cha-Cha” wraps its taping.


Kim Seonho’s fame continues to soar. He has been receiving numerous projects and offers since his phenomenal role in the drama, Start-Up (2020), where he was also nominated for the Best Supporting Actor at the 2021 Baeksang Arts Awards.

Recently, he topped the September Brand Reputation Ranking index in the list of drama actors according to Korean Business Research Institute.
