Top 5 Korean Actors In The Brand Value Rankings

On January 3rd, Top Star News revealed the ranking of actors with brand value for the week of December 27, 2021 to January 2, 2022. The survey data was analyzed in areas including reading rate, reader recommendations, article comments, and retweet clicks.

“The Red Sleeve” stars, Lee Jun-ho and Lee Se-young claimed the 1st and 2nd spots respectively. Lee Junho topped the overall ranking with a total score of 31,729 points while Lee Se-young got a total score of 22,701 points. They both got the highest rate in news or article views with a score of more than 20,000 points.

Their historical drama, “The Red Sleeve” successfully ended last January 1, 2022, attaining its highest nationwide viewership rating of 17.4%. They also consistently dominated the most buzzworthy drama and actors during its run.

Moreover, Lee Junho and Lee Se-young were included in the list of rookie actors predicted by 62 industry experts to shine in 2022.

Meanwhile, Kim Seonho rose to 3rd spot from the previous brand value ranking of 8th place. Even though “Hometown Cha-Cha-Cha” already ended in October, he continues to generate buzz online with a total score of 11,353 points. He also took 1st place in the average value per article with a total score of 5,677 points.

While Gallup Korea selected Kim Seonho as the #1 “TV Actor of the Year” in 2021, he was also selected by 62 industry experts to be one of the most anticipated actors who will dominate 2022.

The fourth place for the brand value ranking with a total score of 9,363 points was claimed by Namkoong Min, the star of the hit series, “The Veil”. He recently won the “Daesang Grand Prize” for his role in The Veil at the 2021 MBC Drama Awards and “Best Actor” for Hot Stove League at the 2021 Korea PD Awards.

The “Snowdrop” male lead, Jung Hae-in, took 5th place with a total score of 7,434 points. He was also included in the list of the most anticipated actors who will dominate 2022.
