“Happiness” K-Drama Enters Netflix’s Global Top 10

The crowd-favorite zombie drama in 2021, Happiness, is making waves on Netflix worldwide. It has entered the Global Top 10 charts, taking 7th place in the category, non-English TV shows, upon its first week of streaming from April 12 to 17, 2022.

So far it has obtained 10.9 million viewing hours and is popular in 23 countries from Africa, Asia, and Oceania, including Morocco, New Zealand, Nigeria, and India, to name a few. The drama also landed on no.1 spot in Bahrain, Kuwait, Malaysia, Maldives, Oman, Philippines, Qatar, Saudi Arabia, Singapore, Thailand, and United Arab Emirates on Netflix’s TV category.

Happiness (2021) is a twelve-part series that revolves around residents in a high-rise apartment building locked down by the government due to the spread of a deadly disease. It stars Han Hyo-joo, Park Hyung-sik, and Jo Woo-jin. It was aired on tvN locally and on Viu internationally from November 5, 2021 to December 11, 2021.

Meanwhile, A Business Proposal (2022), Twenty-Five Twenty-One (2022), and Forecasting Love And Weather (2022) remain on Top 10 in TV category while All Of Us Are Dead (2022), Juvenile Justice (2022), and Thirty-Nine (2022) have departed the global charts.
