The Red Sleeve (2021-2022) has been announced the Grand Prize winner at the Korea Communications Commission Broadcasting Awards. The said government agency holds an annual event that selects and honors excellent programs produced by various broadcasting companies in South Korea. The ceremony was held at the Lotte Hotel in Seoul City on June 20th.
The Daesang or Grand Prize award is now included in the long list of nominations and wins of the popular TV series and considered the highest award that the drama has received so far. It is followed by Lee Jun-ho’s Best Actor win at the Baeksang Arts Awards in May 2022. As of June 20th, it has achieved 13 wins out of 19 nominations.

The Red Sleeve (2021) is a sageuk-romantic Korean series that tells the romance between the King of Joseon and a court maid, starring Lee Jun-ho and Lee Se-young.
It premiered on November 12, 2021 through MBC and attained the highest nationwide viewership rating of 17.4% during its final episode. It also gained popularity overseas through the streaming platform, Viu.
