On August 28th, the annual “Brand Of The Year Awards” has revealed their brands for the year selected from fourteen industries. The event was hosted by the Korea Consumer Brand Committee and organized by the Korea Economic Daily with the Korea Consumer Forum.
An online and telephone survey with 464,633 participants of public consumers was conducted from July 4 to 17. An all-time high of 12.7 million votes from 1.9 million participants of Chinese consumers was also recorded, which was held on the People’s Network homepage of the People’s Daily. The online voting marked its 20th anniversary with the theme, “The Journey To Greatness”.
Meanwhile, eight actors were recognized as outstanding influencers in the field of entertainment under the People/Culture category:
Best Actor: Son Sukku
Best Actress: Kim Tae-ri
Promising Actor: Kim Min-kyu/Min-gue
Promising Actress: Seol In-ah
Idol Actor: Jaechan of DKZ
Idol Actress: Kim Se-jeong
Rookie Actor: Bae Hyun-sung
Rookie Actress: Cho Yi-hyun
