Unlocked (2023), Mr. Queen (2020) Enter Netflix Global Top 10

The Korean film, Unlocked (2023) and series, Mr. Queen (2020) have entered Netflix Global Top 10 in the non-English Film and TV categories for the week of February 13 to 19, 2023.

Unlocked (2023) took 3rd place and has so far obtained 8.8 million viewing hours. The film is popular in 34 countries from Africa, Europe, Asia, and the Americas including Brazil, Dominican Republic, Peru, Venezuela, Poland, Portugal, Morocco, Hongkong, Indonesia, Oman, Singapore  and Thailand, just to name a few, while it landed at no.1 spot in Malaysia, South Korea, Taiwan, and Vietnam.

The crime-thriller film is written and directed by Kim Tae-joon that is based on a bestselling Japanese novel that tells the story of an ordinary office worker whose life turns upside down when a dangerous young man gets a hold of her lost mobile phone, using it to track her every move. Meanwhile, a detective who investigates a crime scene discovers traces that lead to his own son, suspecting him as the culprit. It stars Yim Si-wan, Chun Won-hee, and Kim Hee-won.

tvN’s Mr. Queen (2020) took 5th place with 20.9 million viewing hours. It reached Top 10 in TV in 33 countries from  Africa, Asia, and the Americas including Bolivia, Ecuador, Mexico, Peru, Kenya, Morocco, Nigeria, Bangladesh, Hongkong, Indonesia, Malaysia, Philippines, Singapore, South Korea, Taiwan, Turkey, and Vietnam, just to name a few. The romantic-comedy series tells the story of a modern chef who suddenly wakes up in the body of a 19th-century queen, causing chaos for everyone involved, starring Shin Hye-sun and Kim Jung-hyun.
