Asia Artist Awards (AAA) is an awards ceremony where famous artists from Asia gather together in one place and receive honor for their outstanding achievements and contributions in television, film, and music. It is organized by South Korea-based business newspaper Money Today and its global media brands StarNews and MTN since 2016.

In the 6th edition on December 2, 2021, the awards will take place at the KBS Arena in Seoul. It will be hosted mainly by Leeteuk and Jang Won-young.

Prior to the main event, an online voting was launched for fans across the globe to cast votes for their favorite artist and win the “AAA RET Popularity Award” and “U+Idol Live Popularity Award”. The number of votes depict the hallyu influence of the artists worldwide.

The AAA voting page speculates, “Who is the most popular star who shines in Asia in 2021?”

Here are the stars who are leading in the actor category:

In the actress category, Song Ji-hyo, a regular cast member of “Running Man”, is leading in the “AAA RET Popularity Award” with more than 300,000 votes (30%) followed by “True Beauty” star, Moon Ga-young with more than 200,000 votes (20.7%).

Two rising stars lead the actress category in “U+Idol Live Popularity Award”. With more than 200,000 votes (30.3%), the “Squid Game” star, Jeong Ho-yeon is on top 1. The female lead in “My Name”, Han So-hee ranks second place with 28% of votes.

Meanwhile, Kim Seonho‘s popularity vote stands out in this year’s AAA actor category. In AAA 2020, he won the Best Emotive Award for his excellent performance as Han Jipyeong in the drama, “Start-Up”.

Once again, he never fails to amaze us with his top-notch performance as Chief Hong in this year’s hit series, “Hometown Cha-Cha-Cha”. His fame is unstoppable and continues to soar globally that it shows in the AAA poll.

He is currently leading both in the “AAA RET Popularity Award” and “U+Idol Live Popularity Award”. To date, he has more than 1.6 million votes (42.2%) for AAA RET and more than 500,000 votes (40.4%) for U+Idol Live poll.

Actor-singers Jinyoung (36.6% for AAA RET) and Cha Eun-woo (33.2% for U+Idol Live) are both in the second place.

Who will be the big winners of AAA this year?

Fans worldwide are actively casting their paid votes in the final round which will end on November 15th.
