Kim Seonho remains unbeatable, setting a new record as five-time “Korean Wave Actor” winner on Thekking, a popular online voting platform which was developed for fans of K-dramas and K-pop.
The well-loved actor ranked first place in the category, K-Drama Wave Actor, for five (5) consecutive months this year. As a result, he earned a digital ad display at New York’s Time Square, NASDAQ billboard.
The Hallyu star received more than 4 million votes in January, 1.4 million votes in February, 1.7 million votes in March, 2.05 million votes in April, and 1 million votes in May from fans worldwide.
THEKKING has also released its official announcement for this month’s winner on Twitter. A congratulatory video was also created for Kim Seonho through their YouTube account.
Meanwhile, Kim Seonho is making a theater comeback with a play that is based on a true story, Touching The Void. He was cast to play the role of Joe Simpson, one of the two hikers who climbed the 20,853-foot Siula Grande and experienced a near-death situation upon descent a rough, snowy weather.
The said theatrical play will be held at Daehak-ro Art One Theater in South Korea from July 8 to September 18, 2022.
