The first season of tvN’s Alchemy Of Souls (2022) has successfully achieved a record of 12 consecutive weeks on Netflix’s global rankings.

The fantasy series entered the top list in the non-English TV category on June 27th and exited on September 18th. It reached Top 10 in TV in 37 countries and most popular in Hongkong, Indonesia, Japan, Malaysia, Nigeria, Philippines, South Korea, Taiwan, and Vietnam, for 14 weeks. In terms of viewing hours, the show has been watched for a total of 211.2 million hours for 12 weeks, from June 27, 2022 to September 18, 2022.

tvN’s Alchemy Of Souls (2022) depicts the stories of young magicians dealing with heaven and earth, written by Hong Jung-eun and Hong Mi-ran, and directed by Kim Seong-yoon. It stars Lee Jae-wook, Jung So-min, Hwang Min-hyun, Arin, Yoo In-soo, and Go Yoon-jung. A second season has been confirmed to be released in December 2022.

Meanwhile, Squid Game (2021) for 20 weeks, Hometown Cha-Cha-Cha (2021) for 16 weeks, and A Business Proposal (2022) for 13 weeks, remain the top 3 worldwide hit Korean titles based on weeks achieved on Netflix’s Global Top 10 rankings. Alchemy Of Souls (2022) and Extraordinary Attorney Woo (2022) came in fourth with a record of 12 weeks, as of September 28th.
