Kim Seonho has topped the list of The Most Bankable Korean Actors of 2022 in the October 2022 issue of The Netizens Report, an american digital and print serial that organises and publish valid surveys from internet users worldwide.
The magazine cover for October 2022 issue features the most famous entertainers worlwide including Tom Holland as the most bankable Hollywood actor, Alia Bhatt as the most bankable Bollywood actor, BLACKPINK’s Lisa as the most bankable K-pop idol, Xiao Zhan as the most bankable Chinese actor, and Kim Seonho as the most bankable Korean actor.
Using insights, the american magazine selected six Korean actors who are most influential or powerful in selling a movie, TV series, and brands they represent in 2022. Kim Seonho took first place in the list, describing the actor as “the most influential South Korean actor in selling films and promoting brands.”
The phenomenon “Kim Seonho Effect” was mentioned in the article, stating the great results of his work since Start-Up (2020) until Hometown Cha-Cha-Cha (2021) including rave reviews of his performance, awards, recognition, brand reputation ranking, global rise in popularity, becoming the face of numerous brands in South Korea and overseas, and surge in record sales in products he endorsed.
Other Korean actors who were selected in the list of The Most Bankable Korean Actors included Lee Minho in 2nd place, Song Joong-ki in 3rd place, Kim Soo-hyun in 4th place, Jung Ho-yeon in 5th place, and Jung Hae-in in 6th place.
Meanwhile, Kim Seonho successfully finished his stage performance as Joe in Touching The Void (2022), where all seats on his performance dates from July until September were immediately sold out. He was also revealed as the newest ambassador of Bench, a top clothing and lifestyle brand in the Philippines and won the Outstanding Drama Actor for Hometown Cha-Cha-Cha (2021) at the 17th Seoul International Drama Awards. For the first time, he will hold a domestic fan meeting to be held on December 10th. His movie debut, Sad Tropics, is expected to be released late this year or early next year.
