tvN’s Twenty-Five Twenty-One (2022), starring Kim Tae-ri and Nam Joo-hyuk has earned the national win as Best Drama Series and will represent South Korea at the Grand Awards and Gala Finale in Asian Academy Creative Awards 2022.
Fifteen nominees from 15 countries have been announced to compete in the final round for Best Drama Series. South Korea’s Twenty-Five Twenty-One (2022) has been selected as official candidate alongside Australia’s The Secrets She Keeps S2, Bangladesh’s Jaago Bahey, China’s The Ideal City, Hongkong’s Kids’ Lives Matter, India’s Suzhal-The Vortex, Indonesia’s Wedding Agreement The Series, Japan’s Don’t Call It Mystery, Malaysia’s Ganjil, Myanmar’s Trapped, Philippines’ On The Job, Singapore’s This Land Is Mine, Taiwan’s Light The Night, Thailand’s Wannabe, and Vietnam’s Scarlet Hill – Trai Hoa Do TV Series.
tvN’s Twenty-Five Twenty-One (2022) unveils the youth’s highs and lows of dreaming, achieving, and meeting people set in the late 1990s. It stars Kim Tae-ri who played as Na Hee-do, a bubbly and highly optimistic character who works hard to be the best fencer and inspires the most to dream on and carry on amid the negatives of life. Nam Joo-hyuk portrayed Baek Yi-jin, a character from riches to rags who overcomes life’s hardships to become a top reporter, enabling the innate strength in us to conquer the unbearables and stings of life. It was also streamed on Netflix worldwide and became one of the most popular Korean titles during its run.
The final winners of this year’s Asian Academy Creative Awards will be officially announced during the Grand Awards and Gala Finale in Singapore on December 7-8, 2022.
