Hometown Cha-Cha-Cha Becomes The First Korean Drama To Compose Two Photo Essays with English Translation

The long-awaited photo essay of tvN’s Hometown Cha-Cha-Cha (2021) has finally been published on February 14, 2023. It is revealed to be the first photo esssay in a Korean drama that is composed of two volumes, written in Korean and English.

One year and three months after the end of the seaside series, fans are still in love with the show for its heartwarming experience that celebrates the beauty of life, love, community, and healing. And it is no surprise why this “Hallyu Excellence Award” winner gained huge attraction and captivated the audience across Asia and the world.

According to Yes24, the script book of Hometown Cha-Cha-Cha (2021) was published immediately after the finale episode in 2021, placing first in online bookstore bestsellers list for the first time in a script book. It was also recognized as an excellent publishing content and selected in the liberal arts section of Sejong Books in 2022.

tvN’s Hometown Cha-Cha-Cha (2021) is written by Shin Ha-eun that tells the story of a fun and warm community in the seaside village of Gongjin, starring Kim Seonho who played Hong Dusik, a man with odd jobs who lives freely on his own but helps everyone in need, and Shin Mina who played Yoon Hye-jin, a perfectionist dentist whose life turns around when she loses her job in Seoul and moves to the countryside, meeting ordinary yet extraordinary people. The 16-episode drama was released on August 28, 2021 and ended on October 17, 2021 via tvN cable channel in South Korea and on Netflix for international viewers.
