Asia Artist Awards (AAA) is a leading global award ceremony where famous artists from Asia gather together in one place to receive honor for their outstanding achievements and contributions in television, film, and music. It was established in 2016 and is organized by South Korea-based business newspaper Money Today and its global media brands StarNews and MTN.
On November 14th local time, six electronic billboards were displayed in Times Square, Manhattan, New York to promote the AAA 2021 Awards Ceremony. It contains video images of famous K-stars. The excitement is high as artists and fans await for the big event in December.
The award ceremony will take place at the KBS Arena Hall in Seoul on December 2 at 6:00pm KST. It will be hosted mainly by the Super Junior member, Leeteuk and IZ*ONE member, Jang Won-young, with a star-studded line-up of appearances and performances.

AAA Popularity Award Winners: Song Ji-ho confirmed to attend while appearance of Jeong Ho-yeon and Kim Seonho remains unconfirmed.
Meanwhile, only one from three winners of Popularity Awards is confirmed to attend the ceremony on December 2nd.
Song Ji-hyo, a regular cast member of “Running Man”, will be present to receive the “AAA RET Popularity Award”. This is the third consecutive year that the actress won the AAA Popularity Award.
However, it is not yet confirmed if the “Squid Game” star, Jeong Ho-yeon, will be able to attend to receive her first award as a rookie actress. She got the “U+Idol Live Popularity Award” with more than 280,000 fan votes.
On the other hand, Kim Seonho, who scored a double win for “AAA RET Popularity Award” and “U+Idol Live Popularity Award”, is also not yet confirmed to attend the award ceremony.
On November 30th, various news outlets reported an unofficial and unverified statement from Kim Seonho not attending the ceremony. However, his agency, SALT Entertainment, responded through Joy News 24, officially stating that, “Nothing has been decided yet.”
Whether he appears or not on the ceremony, the fact remains that he is now one of the recognized phenomenal actors in the Korean entertainment industry whose stardom is unstoppable and continues to soar worldwide. After the hit series, “Hometown Cha-Cha-Cha” which captured the hearts of millions across the globe, he is now diligently preparing for his movie debut, “Sad Tropics“.
