Omo, more cities were announced to be visited by Asia’s charmer Kim Seonho including Hongkong, Japan, Taiwan, and Indonesia!
While fans anticipated the release of Kim Seonho’s movie debut late in 2022, the actor surprised everyone with something else: a fan meeting! It still feels surreal for some to see him back sharing life updates and future projects after a long break from the public eye. What is even more meaningful is that he has chosen to meet and engage with his fans first before appearing on the small and big screens, a gesture of humility as an actor and love for the fandom.
After announcing a Seoul fan meeting in 2022, Salt Entertainment also revealed an Asia Tour in 2023, which includes Philippines and Thailand as Kim Seonho’s first stops for the new year. According to his agency, the actor hopes to record happy memories with his fans in photographs with the theme, “One, Two, Three, Smile!”, and that the event is prepared with gratitude for the interest and support that he continues to receive from his fandom. Hence, he wants to give back through this special fan meeting event.
Kim Seonho made great memories with fans in the city of Seoul, Manila, and Bangkok, and is now officially set to visit his international fans in Hongkong, Tokyo, Taipei, and Jakarta!
“To think about meeting my fans makes my heart flutters,” Kim Seonho warmly said in a video greeting. According to the schedule revealed by SALT Entertainment, the actor will meet his Hongkong fans on April 29, 2023, Saturday at Star Hall, Kowloonbay International Trade & Exhibition Centre (KITEC). Ticket selling is ongoing via HK Ticketing. He will also meet his fans in Tokyo and based on the information from his official Japan Fan Club, two fanmeets will take place in the city on May 12, 2023, Friday, at 14:00 PM for Part 1 and 18:00 PM for Part 2, which will be held at Shibuya Line Cube.
On March 13th, two more cities were announced to be visited by Kim Seonho. According to an event organizer in Taiwan called D-Show, Kim Seonho will be meeting his fans in Taipei on May 27, 2023, Saturday, at Taipei International Convention Center (TICC). His fanmeet in Jakarta is scheduled on June 3, 2023, Saturday at Tennis Indoor Senayan, as informed by MCP, a concert promoter in Indonesia.
Kim Seonho made an indelible mark with his sold out fan meetings in Seoul, Manila, and Bangkok. Although diverse in culture, all his fan meetings were equally meaningful for him and his fans in different ways. “We are each other’s reason. Let us walk together for a long time,” South Korean fans surprised Kim Seonho with this warm message that made him shed tears on stage. His two-day fan meeting in Seoul happened for two consecutive days, December 10 to 11, 2022, with ticket sales revealed to be donated.
Filipino fans also filled SM Mall Of Asia (MOA) Arena in Manila, Philippines on January 22, 2023 and witnessed the ultimate fan service from the actor. Overwhelmed by the huge number of attendees cheering for him on the day, he expressed a warm message to everyone, “Because of you, I can stand here as an actor. Thank you so much for being with me in the hard times and good times.” After receiving a warm welcome from Thais in 2022, Kim Seonho finally had a chance to express his heart of gratitude to fans who filled Queen Sirikit National Convention Center in Bangkok for a two-day fanmeet, dated February 11 to 12, 2023, saying, “You gave me strength as an actor”.
Meanwhile, we will see Kim Seonho for the first time on the big screen through the upcoming action noir film The Childe. He is also currently shooting a new action movie called Tyrant and in talks to play the Crown Prince in the historical drama series, Hash’s Shinru.
