In a poll conducted by Everyday Talk, an online community or real-time chat service for Korean TV viewers, Hometown Cha-Cha-Cha obtained the highest votes for “The Most Fun Drama Of 2021”.

The romantic-comedy drama, Hometown Cha-Cha-Cha, received 40.9% of votes, followed by The Red Sleeve which acquired 39.4% of votes and Hospital Playlist, taking 3rd place with 34.7% of votes.

Hometown Cha-Cha-Cha continues to stand out as one of the best and most crowd-favorite series of all time. In 2021, it was selected as the “Best Drama Of 2021” by Kim Soo Hyun Drama Art Hall.

Moreover, it was named as “The Best Popcorn Worthy Show” at the Hallyu Talk Awards and won the People’s Choice Awards for Best Drama at the 2021 Metro Best K-Drama Awards.

Globally, it’s one of the most watched and longest Korean titles to stay on Netflix’s Top 10 charts alongside Squid Game.

It was even selected by US Variety as one of 2021’s crop of best international TV shows. They described Hometown Cha-Cha-Cha as one of the feel-good K-dramas stating, “The story’s simplicity and lightheartedness has a refreshing vibe amid the doom and gloom of the pandemic.“
